We’re pleased to announce that the loooong beta is finally closed.
The only thing that is stopping us to publicly release the new version is the Members Area product. We are working on it to iron the final bugs and open its service for everyone. The Members Area will be very similar to current vBulletin Members Area, so you will be able to see your licenses status and download the latest versions.
Powered by Sphinx Search, Searchlight 2.1.0 opens the door to infinite programming possibilities, related to your stored data. Not only that the custom API was completely rewritten from scratch but also the new MySQL binary protocol is fully supported. It is your choice what and how you want to implement Searchlight. The Axivo Search product is a perfect example how you can use both API and SQL in your vBulletin software. Of course, we will release detailed information how you can take advantage of all “hidden” features in Searchlight.
All current Searchlight clients will get a free 1 year extension on the Axivo Search product. Axivo Searchlight does not have any time limitations, you get free updates for the entire lifespan of the product.

Parents Austria is our first foreign language site, running on Searchlight 2.1.0 software. It required a custom server install because we wanted to made sure the search keywords stemming is compatible with the German phonetics.
